I have been playing chess on and off for a couple of years now. A few years ago I used to play quite seriously - at my peak I was rated 1968 in rapid on lichess.org. This is certainly nothing special, but still something that I am quite proud of. More recently, however, the rate of my play and progress has stagnated. I mostly play bullet which seems to fill a similar role to games like solitaire or minesweeper - it is mostly a time killer and I play by intuition rather than deep thinking.
As a way to get back into the game and increasy my level of play, I thought I would start focusing on longer time controls again (classical or rapid). I also had the idea to start logging my games and analyze the more interesting ones. The goal is play one longer game per week and analyze it myself. After I think I have understood all nuances of the game, I will take help from an engine to identify things I may have missed. Each analysis will be published here on the small chance that someone finds them interesting.
